Xhosa is one of the languages spoken in South Africa. It is a really neat language. Travis, my husband, went on his mission to South Africa and learned a fun tongue twister. Here is a video of a man from South Africa speaking this tongue twister.

Travis really loved his mission to this land. It holds a very special place in his heart. He loves the people and he learned so much from these wonderful people! Even though he was white, to Travis he will always be a black man!
Just stopping by from the A-Z Challenge list to say "Hi" :)

Loved the video! I was a short term missionary in Papua New Guinea in the 80’s. They have over 700 languages across the country! Thanks for your post. Happy A to Z!

Hi Jessica! I'm a Jessica too. :) Fascinating X post and I loved the video. Wish I could make those sounds and speak that language. Very rhythmic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe A to Z will soon be over. Do you feel a sense of accomplishment? And when we post Z, we'll suffer from something akin to postpartum depression! I'm a new follower - #50! :)
