Home, A Place For Joy

"As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family.  Don't dwell on your failures, but think of your successes.  Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.
-Marjorie Pay Hinckley

This woman has really been someone that I have admired. She lived a great life and was so faithful and her words still ring true today.
I believe it is so important to have time together as a family without distractions. During General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, one of the speakers mentioned putting aside the things of the world, the technology of the world and have a time each day where all distractions are put aside for time together as a family.
This is something I want in my family. It is so important to me to be able to have quality time together where we can learn and grow together as a family. In doing so we are able to, not only strengthen our relationships with one another, but we are able to have the spirit in our home and are able to enjoy the journey of life together. Our home is a place where love dwells and will always dwell.

  1. Elder Scott's talk was about the importance of a Christ-centered home. I always strive to have a peaceful home.

  2. Sister Hinckley had a lot of great things to say.

My home is my temple on earth. It is a place of refuge.

    Thanks for sharing!
